The Climate Emergency strategy is a city-wide, shared vision and not owned by any single organisation.
The strategy is comprehensive, addressing both the direct and indirect sources of the emissions that are responsible for climate change.
It looks at the wider carbon footprints of residents and businesses caused by the things we buy from around the world. The strategy considers some of the ways to reduce this broader footprint.
The strategy also outlines some of the necessary actions to reduce emissions as well as actions to adapt to extreme weather events as a result of climate change, which are expected to increase in the future.
Finally, the strategy recognises that to achieve these goals, Bristol needs action from the UK Government and the wider world.
